Private 51st Birthday Party - Arabian Nights
"Charlotte from Papillon Events helped me throw my husband an Arabian Nights party for a very special birthday. She was amazingly organised, full of fabulous & beautiful ideas and her attention to detail was brilliant. Charlotte is a real perfectionist, which I totally love. You can guarantee if Charlotte at Papillon Events throws you a party, your guests will be wowed and it will be out of this world! Charlotte transformed a marquee into an Aladdin's cave filled with opulent colours. Drapes flowed throughout and beautiful lantern chandeliers hung from the ceiling, the tables were laid with rich purple cloths, warm pink napkins, bunches of vintage roses to match and finished with gold edged plates and glasses. Everything looked stunning! The Moroccan food was absolutely delicious. To finish off, the lighting and background music really set the mood. A huge thank you to Charlotte and the rest of the team at Papillon Events for giving us the best party we could have wished for. Nothing was too much trouble. I wish we could do it all over again! Thank you".

Private 16th, 18th, 21st & 50th Birthday Party – Out of Africa
"We set you a difficult challenge: a multi-generational birthday celebration for two 50 year olds, a 21 year old, an 18 year old and a 16 year old! No pressure then!! But what a truly amazing party you created for us. Guests of all ages and backgrounds were totally blown away. From the dramatic lighting of the house to when they walked into the marquee, and from the wonderful flowers to the log filled braziers glowing into the night. Many of our friends commented that it was simply the best party they had ever been too - and we agree! You really captured the spirit of the Out of Africa theme, from the floral decorations and special lighting effects to the themed menu and music selection. The attention to detail large and small was miraculous and the fact that you made it all run so smoothly on the night meant we had the most fantastic stress-free time. We are so grateful for everything you did and will not work with anyone else but you and your team in the future."

Private 40th Birthday Party - James Bond
"Papillon is our go to party planner. Either for intimate dinners at home or large flamboyant events. Papillon Events organised our James Bond 40th Birthday party last May. It was the most fantastic evening and exceeded all of our expectations. We had 160 guests sipping martinis made by their wonderful mixologists and bar staff. The fusion meal was divine and the staff went above and beyond. Every attention to detail was considered from golden statues to lighting and music. Charlotte made everything so seamless from the invitations through to the running of the whole evening. Everything was managed with a superbly efficient calmness and professional manner and although we didn't finish until 5am everything was cleared away including the marquees by the afternoon. I couldn't recommend her highly enough for any event large or small. We just need to find the excuse for the next party!".

Private 40th Birthday Party – Garden Glam meets Gatsby
"Charlotte at Papillon Events, helped me with our 40th party. She was calm and full of brilliant ideas. It was wonderful to have someone to bounce thoughts off, and also to have someone who worked with me to find suitable alternatives that fitted within our budget. She organised the bar and liased with the marquee company and furniture suppliers, and was able to integrate each element of the party so that in the run up, and on the evening itself, everything ran like clockwork. Private 50th Birthday Party – A Hint of Africa
“Having a fiftieth party at home could be as stressful as a wedding to organise, time-consuming and very easy to make mistakes and omissions. The best organisational decision we made was to ask someone else to organise it for us, Charlotte at Papillon Events. She had obviously organised many successful events before, knew what would work, what wouldn’t, knew who to call and when to call them. Seamless. Charlotte and my wife, Jo, got on brilliantly. Charlottes work started with the ‘save the date’ email and finished when the photo album arrived a few days after the party. All our memories of the run up, the party itself and the aftermath, were good, no bad ones at all. The party is still talked about, the jungle noises by the front gate, the hilarity of the elephants trumpeting in the mens cloakrooms, the fantastic bar staff in their pith helmets, the beautifully dressed and lit marquee and the endless supply of great food and drink. It was the best party ever, a great 50th birthday present.”
