Subtle influences from Africa provided the backdrop for a clients 50th birthday party in the grounds of their home in Hertfordshire for their 170 guests.
A CD player with animal noises was hidden in the bushes so that guests were greeted by roaring lions and babbling baboons – which caused a few laughs not to mention a few surprised looks!
On entering the marquee, Moroccan canapés and bowl food circulated early on, followed by little cubes of the fabulous African cake for midnight munchies.
The marquee (supplied by Mahood Marquees) was transformed into a chic nightclub with leopard print lighting effects projected on the marquee walls and floors (courtesy of Lightech), zebra print seating (Ice Magic) zebra rugs and birds of paradise floral arrangements (Flowers by Eve) provided a Hint of Africa. Even the photobooth (courtesy of Luxury Booth Hire) had an African themed backdrop & African themed props for guests to dress up in.
Bar staff were in on the theme too, as they were given white Pith hats to wear as the drinks flowed and everyone danced the night away on the star studded dancefloor.
The black, white & orange colour scheme looked effortlessly elegant, whilst providing a few African touches.
Most importantly though, the client had a fabulous 50th and was chuffed to bits with all the hard work and effort that had gone into planning his party.
